About The Position

Wipro is hiring a Python Dev with Firmware (BIOS) to support product test automation and new product introduction (NPI) programs. The role involves hardware bring-up, qualification, regression testing, and large-scale hardware validation and test execution. The successful candidate will use Python and PowerShell to build scripts for test execution, environment setup, and log analysis, and will troubleshoot issues through debugging, root cause analysis, and log analysis. The position requires familiarity with server hardware architecture and in-band and out-of-band management, including BMC, Redfish, and IPMI, as well as firmware/BIOS/BMC interaction and related hardware such as CPLD and JBOD.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience supporting NPI programs, including bring-up, qualification, and regression testing.
• Understanding of in-band and out-of-band management, including BMC, Redfish, and IPMI.
• Ability to handle large-scale hardware validation and test execution.
• Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and log analysis skills.
• Ability to build scripts for test execution, environment setup, and log analysis.
• Strong understanding of server hardware architecture.
• Experience with product test automation.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, CPLD, JBOD, OEM, hardware systems, and firmware/BIOS/BMC interaction.
• Good communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• 3–5 years of experience.
