About The Position

The Python Data Engineer will work onsite in Plano, Texas, developing data engineering solutions using Python, PySpark, and big data technologies. The role uses AWS services including S3, EMR, and Lambda, and involves working with Terraform, Java, REST APIs, messaging technologies, Kafka, Cassandra, and workflow schedulers. Experience with Databricks and familiarity with machine learning workflows are preferred.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and big data technologies for data engineering.
• Practical experience with AWS, specifically S3, EMR, and Lambda.
• Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Working knowledge of Java, REST APIs, MQ messaging, Kafka, and Cassandra.
• Working knowledge of Airflow, Control-M, or native schedulers.
• W2 employment only; no C2C, 1099, or third-party profiles accepted.
• US Citizen, Green Card, or GC EAD work authorization preferred.
• Local candidates are highly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Databricks workspaces, notebooks, and jobs.
• Familiarity with machine learning models, including training and inference workflows and model lifecycle.
