About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a PVF (Pipes, Valves, and Fittings) Project Manager to join their team. This remote role will support the DC Metro market and requires the candidate to be in the EST time zone, preferably within commuting distance of DC Metro locations. As a PVF Specialist, you will be responsible for developing deep product knowledge, engaging with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions, providing technical support, and contributing to sales growth. Requirements

  • 7+ years of proven experience in pipe, valves and fittings is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, however, equivalent experience in pipe valves and fittings will be considered
  • Industry and product knowledge preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
  • Must be in the EST time zone, preferably within easy commuting distance of locations in the DC Metro market

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget
  • Recommend products and services that fit well with clients' business needs
  • Lead execution of project in accordance with organization's project management methodology according to established project plan
  • Establish and maintain effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers
  • Coordinate the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
  • Supervise progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
  • Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, requirements, and perform calculations
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
  • Prioritize resources and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met
  • Provide a high level of assistance to program/project managers to ensure projects are carried out according to plan
