About The Position

The PVC Dip Operator plays a key role in our production process by preparing and plastic coating metal parts while ensuring quality standards and efficient workflow. This position is responsible for completing the hang, dip, unhang, trim, and packaging operation on the plastisol vinyl product line and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. This position will be cross trained to other areas of the vinyl department as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, labels, and work instructions.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
  • Ability to count and measure equipment and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.
  • Ability to use and read a tape measure.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties with direction.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates ability to complete all paperwork necessary for the position.
  • Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such a level as is determined in the company’s employee handbook.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Prefer one to three years related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Hanging and removing parts on the moving conveyor line per line tracker instructions.
  • Inspect for quality at time of hanging, and on trim table after dipping.
  • Use air dry patch to patch voids on parts.
  • Use utility knife to trim drips off edges of finished parts.
  • Using a hand drill to install metal tags to appropriate parts.
  • Label and stack finished parts on pallet and wrapping/scanning.
  • Assemble parts as required using hammer.
  • Driving forklift to move parts to staging areas.
  • Keep area clean and neat at all times.
  • Willing to work a variety of hours as necessary to meet customer demand.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, team leads and supervisors.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet department goals.
