About The Position

This position is within the Power Generation Division, responsible for NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The role is based out of Green River Solar in the Irvington, Ky area. The employee will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations. Responsibilities include maintaining tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations, performing inspections for fluid system breaches, mechanical component issues, and electrical component failures, and troubleshooting solar arrays and inverters to ensure grid power production. The Site Technician supports the Regional Manager or designee in executing PGD processes, including safety, contractor management, equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, site operations, asset management, regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management.

Requirements

• High School Grad / GED
• 1+ years of experience
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
