Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Minimum of one year related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have basic computer skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rates and ratios.
Knowledge of metric system.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Operator must be highly motivated with ability to work independently, yet be an effective team player.
Operator must have above average mechanical ability.

Excel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Accountable for maintaining stock items that contribute to producing a quality product.
Comply with legal and other requirements to avoid injury and/or ill health to themselves and others.
Understands preventative measures and creates a safe environment by having the ability to identify potential emergency situations and reports all incidents to supervisor/ manager.
Adhere to the facility’s quality, environmental, health and safety policies that are identified by the Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems.
Maintains master information for counts and weights of articles that have been purchased
Enters and records data into various systems this may include but not limited to items on purchase order, delivery schedule, invoice and other records.
Compiles reports using computer to record information on usage of stock, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
Backup support in the absence of the stockroom attendant. Back up support in the absence of the Material Analyst. Back up support for Raw Material QA cert verification and entry.
Creates or maintains master information for stockroom items in SAP system.
Ensures appropriate and timely communication within departments.
Reviews MRO stock usage and makes recommendations to change re-order point or maximum quantity.
Requisitions articles to maintain correct inventory levels.
Receive, store and distributes material, supplies, merchandise, tools and equipment as required.
Must read, interpret and follow all safety rules and regulations while performing operations.
Overtime is required as posted weekly, and may be mandated for this position.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor / management.
