Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to handle the stress of working with others.
  • Ability to be available outside of normal work hours.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles.
  • Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components.
  • Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle.
  • Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.
  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing
  • 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment
  • Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others.
  • Ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and control appropriate levels of inventory to support production, including cycle count program.
  • Initiate, review, and process purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Review and manage change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers; reschedule as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain all master data related to planning, such as safety stock, lead times and lot size.
  • Support inventory management directives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
