About The Position

The Purchasing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless procurement of goods and materials necessary for retail operations. This position is responsible for managing the entire purchasing cycle, from generating purchase orders to coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to maintain optimal inventory levels. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within the retail industry or a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with purchase order processing and materials management principles.
  • Basic proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage supplier relationships and internal coordination.
  • Expertise in purchase orders and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

  • Create, process, and manage purchase orders to meet the operational needs of the retail business.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with materials management to ensure adequate stock without overstocking.
