About The Position

This role facilitates the purchasing and receiving of product to help keep QBRC continually operational. The Purchasing/Receiving Clerk assists in planning, organizing, and directing the ordering of goods and services for the property. They also assist with inventory management and related functions for dry goods and office supplies, including various inventory cycles, price checks, and closing procedures. The position ensures the property receives the best value for its purchases, maintains consistent and adequate availability of goods and services, and adheres to regulatory and internal requirements. Data entry is a required and variable task depending on the job needs. The clerk is responsible for ordering, receiving, and distributing goods received on property, matching packing slips, bill of materials, and/or invoices against delivered product for accuracy, quality, and quantity, and checking for catch weights as necessary. They also match these documents against purchase orders and process them as directed, and process transfer of goods requests for various QBRC departments. Maintaining a clean, organized, and secure work station and storage areas, rotating, dating, and facing all items in storage, and maintaining an accurate delivery log are also key responsibilities. The role requires effective time management, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple priorities. A friendly, service-oriented approach to all encounters, professional handling of difficult situations, and compliance with QBRC standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations are expected. Providing excellent customer service to all internal and external customers and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships are crucial. Developing solutions for customer concerns and maintaining a focus on customer service are top priorities. Adherence to all QBRC Personnel Policies and Procedures and Title 97 Policy is mandatory. Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change based on organizational needs or supervisor direction.

Requirements

  • At least 1 Year or more in the Purchasing and/or Receiving field (related fields will be reviewed)
  • At least 1 Year or more of Data Entry Experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite; Mainly Excel & Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees
  • Be able to develop and maintain business relationships with vendors
  • Be able to work morning and late shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Be able to work extended flexible hours, standing, walking, bending, reaching, extreme cold in freezer and refrigerators (longer times when doing inventories)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Class III Washington State Quinault Indian Nation Tribal Gaming License

  • Previous experience with Data Plus Hospitality Solutions software (Purchasing/Receiving Software)
  • Previous experience with FSA Star Solutions software (Inventory Software)
  • Previous experience involving purchasing/receiving procedures and inventory control
  • Previous experience and/or skills with computers and office equipment

Responsibilities

  • Assists in planning, organizing, and directing the ordering of goods and services for the property.

  • Ensures that the property receives the best value for its purchases, that there are consistent and adequate availability of goods and services, and maintain standards that are compliant with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Data Entry is required and will vary depending on the need of the job and task at the time.
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, and distribution of goods received on property.

  • Ensure Purchasing office and storage areas are secure at all times
  • Maintain a clean, clear, un-cluttered, and organized work station and storage areas.
  • Rotate, date check, and face all items in the storage areas
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date delivery log, including outgoing packages.
  • Effectively manage time.
  • Meet deadlines and multiple priorities of QBRC business demands as required
