Requirements

• Effective communication /customer service skills.
• Detailed oriented.
• Analytical, organized, accurate, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with MS Office Suites (Excel, Word).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree is preferred; Concentration in Business Administration, Economics, or Supply Chain is preferred.
• Real world purchasing experience can substitute for educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain material stocked in the warehouse.
• Identify and select suppliers considering quality, delivery, and price.
• Contact suppliers to obtain pricing and specifications.
• Reviews acquisitions, verifies specifications and determines proper method for procurement.
• Proactively expedites orders with suppliers until delivery is complete.
• Manages warehouse inventory.
• Assist other plant personnel when they come into the warehouse for supplies.
• Must wear designated PPE (metatarsal boots) and appropriate clothing inside the warehouse.
• Any other duties expressed by the supervisor.
