The Purchasing / Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving all food, beverages, and general items. This role requires regular and punctual attendance and adherence to grooming standards. The clerk must be able to manage a chaotic schedule of multiple trucks arriving simultaneously within strict delivery windows, while also performing tasks such as ensuring all ordered products are delivered, unloading trucks, and verifying quantities, descriptions, and costs. Maintaining a secure loading dock area, cross-referencing shipments with purchase orders and invoices, and reporting discrepancies are key responsibilities. The role also involves attaching invoices to receiving worksheets, ensuring proper documentation, and coordinating with storeroom clerks for item storage or delivery. Maintaining a neat and clean work area and performing inventories are also part of the job.
