This role is responsible for ensuring the cost, qualification, and delivery of components that meet project design book requirements. The Purchasing Project Engineer will manage the supplier selection process for new parts in New Product Development, utilizing competitive pricing analysis, and ensuring key project milestones are met according to the agreed project schedule. This includes coordinating part approvals by working with the design team and selected suppliers to obtain quality-related documents such as inspection and test reports that demonstrate compliance with Bosch procedures. The position involves purchasing project management for multiple simultaneously managed projects with diverse parts, and managing the purchasing portion of budgets and tooling expenses. The role also requires coordinating and leading technical supplier discussions with suppliers and the project team on various part types including plastic, machined, die cast, electrical & electronics, and powder metal parts. The Purchasing Project Engineer will interact effectively with the global purchasing team to drive projects using Bosch purchasing procedures and will own key departmental key-user functions in areas such as Advanced Negotiation, Supplier Contract Documentation, and utilizing the Bosch Purchasing platform for requesting supplier quotes, analysis, and awarding.
