About The Position

The Mechanical Purchasing Engineer will be responsible for supporting a project management team with various tasks related to jobsite documentation, logistics, procurement, and project management. This role involves managing subcontractors and vendors, coordinating deliveries, assembling estimates, and tracking purchase orders and subcontracts. The engineer will also be involved in updating project schedules and crafting productivity tracking.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Experience in procurement, construction, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, project management, or related industries.
Experience supporting commercial construction, industrial construction, mission-critical facilities, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, or data center projects.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, HVAC, plumbing, fabricated assemblies, or construction materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

Supporting a project management team with jobsite documentation (RFIs, change orders, ASIs, supplemental design documentation, QA/QC, submittals, etc.)
Managing jobsite logistics such as office supplies and badging/orientation paperwork
Coordinating deliveries of equipment and material
Assembling estimates and budgets
Managing subcontractors and vendors
Attending project meetings
Writing and tracking purchase orders and subcontracts
Updating project schedules
Crafting productivity tracking
