About The Position

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for effectively and profitably managing and directing day-to-day aspects of purchasing for the Food and Beverage and venue operations within a Category-Defining, Shared Reality Venue.

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
Proficient on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.
Previous purchasing experience.
5+ years in restaurant and/or hotel, with a strong understanding of day to day impacts on a P&L.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Micros, Shift4, and Yellow Dog.

Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining inventory/order spread sheets that understand usage and purchasing trends.
Engaging with Food and Beverage departments to assist with daily orders including the coordination of deliveries and product to be utilized across two kitchens and throughout the venue.
Working closely with Heart of House (Kitchen) and Bar team to maximize ordering efficiency, product deliveries, and inventory allocation.
Reviewing vendor invoices and pricing.
Monitoring inventory ensuring products are rated and control spoilage.
Assisting with performing weekly inventory.
Coding all invoices to proper outlet for immediate payment processing.
Performing other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.
Being fan oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management in a CosmWorthy way.
