Purchasing & Inventory Lead
About The Position
Ray Jurgen Company is hiring a hands-on Purchasing & Inventory Lead to own purchasing, inventory control, vendor follow-up, warranty administration, and parts availability across our service and installation operations. This role is based in Bristol, CT and supports inventory across multiple company locations. This is not a desk-only purchasing role. The right candidate will take direct accountability for inventory accuracy, open purchase orders, cycle counts, vendor follow-up, warranty claim tracking, shipping/receiving, and physical inventory discipline. We are looking for someone organized, persistent, practical, and comfortable bringing structure to a fast-moving service and installation environment.

Responsibilities
- Creating and managing purchase orders
- Tracking backorders and delayed shipments
- Coordinating with manufacturers and vendors
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Establishing cycle count routines
- Identifying obsolete or slow-moving inventory
- Improving bin/location discipline
- Supporting technician truck stock coordination with the Service Manager
- Ensuring warranty claims are properly submitted and vendor credits are received
- Providing parts pricing, availability, and lead-time information to support service quoting
