About The Position

The Kalmbach Feeds Purchasing team seeks a perceptive, detail-oriented person who can relate effectively to internal and external customers at all levels. The successful candidate will bring a pleasant disposition and be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, team member goodwill, and the company’s reputation when handling unique situations. The role focuses on organizing ingredient and supplier records, documenting approved suppliers, and reviewing ingredient specifications.

Requirements

Be a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
Be reliable, with a strong work ethic and positive disposition.
Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Have outstanding time management skills.
Have exemplary verbal and written communication skills.

Be proficient in Windows-based software programs.

Responsibilities

Streamline ingredient sheets and approved supplier forms, and audit Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documents.
Systematically evaluate and catalogue suppliers to create an approved supplier library.
Evaluate and catalogue suppliers in detail to develop a comprehensive map of approved U.S. suppliers.
Review and update specifications for all ingredients acquired or included in bid processes.
