About The Position

OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator. This role involves researching, determining requirements, coordinating, and processing orders for the purchase of goods/services for multiple hotel properties in various stages of construction, renovation, and operation. The Purchasing Coordinator will be in charge of the early development project stages, including budgeting, proposal reviews, sourcing, and construction coordination. They will ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to key vendors, contractors, and internal customers, monitor vendor and consultant performance, logistics, pricing, and quality control. Effective communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, targets, and issue resolution is crucial. The role also includes performing project closeout, invoice processing, and cost reconciliation, as well as supporting operating hotels with research, capital project purchasing, national vendor pricing, and miscellaneous reports and requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, economics, finance, or procurement related functions
  • Buying or procurement experience
  • Experience in cost analysis, budgeting, and invoicing
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with interior design or construction concepts, terminology, and the processes desired
  • Exposure to project management concepts and practices
  • Demonstrated communication skills and sense of urgency in a team-based environment

Responsibilities

  • Research, determine requirements, coordinate, and process orders for the purchase of goods/services for multiple hotel properties in various stages of construction, renovation, and operation
  • Be in charge of the early development project stages that will require budgeting, proposal reviews, sourcing, and construction coordination
  • Provide timely and accurate delivery of goods to key vendors, contractors, and internal customers.
  • Monitor vendor and consultant performance, logistics, pricing, and quality control
  • Effectively communicate necessary information to keep all stakeholders informed of projects’ progress, the achievement of targets, and the resolution of issues
  • Perform project closeout, invoice processing, and cost reconciliation
  • Support operating hotels with research, capital project purchasing, national vendor pricing, as well as, miscellaneous reports and requests
