About The Position

We are seeking dynamic and results driven Purchasing Coordinator to join our Insulation Greer, SC team. This role will support Logistics and Purchasing Departments at the Plant Level by managing inbound/outbound deliveries and coordinating with logistics carriers. The Purchasing Coordinator will review and monitor inventory levels for finished goods, raw materials, and traded goods across plants in SAP, create and maintain purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related documentation, and communicate with vendors and departments regarding purchase order discrepancies and delivery schedules. The role also involves maintaining raw material tracking spreadsheets for forecasting and purchasing purposes, reviewing and approving invoice discrepancies through VIM, supporting customer service with proof of deliveries and shipping information, coordinating pick-up appointments, and managing large multiple truckload orders. Additionally, the Purchasing Coordinator will communicate with the Plant Manager, Logistics Manager, and Chemical Operations Department on purchasing requirements and delivery schedules, and provide backup support to the Logistics Manager and Warehouse Lead as needed.

Requirements

  • SAP or similar ERP system experience
  • Experience in operations, esp. Purchasing and Logistics
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate across departments
  • Timely, punctual, and professional behavior
  • Experience in a Manufacturing setting
  • Microsoft Office and other software proficiencies

Responsibilities
