About The Position

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement activities within the organization. The primary goal is to ensure goods and services are acquired in a cost-effective and timely manner while adhering to the organization's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing or a related role.
  • Strong communication.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize to meet required deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Basic understanding of Home Automation concepts and technologies, networking and audio/video systems.
  • Have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • Enjoy technology and its impact on our lives.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity, cost and quality expectations of the organization.
  • Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.
  • Oversee the entire product order process, from requisition to delivery.
  • Monitor and compel stock movements within the company to satisfy stock needs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address issues as needed.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as finance and operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their procurement needs.
  • Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.
  • Effectively and promptly communicate with the requestor or receiving location regarding the progress of materials from the vendor/distributor to the endpoint
  • Support local Project Coordinator with warehouse activities
