About The Position

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Purchasing Clerk. In this position you will be responsible for invoice reconciliation and other miscellaneous purchasing tasks. We are one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors in Indiana and among the preeminent specialty contractors in the nation. We specialize in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ minimum experience in an office setting
  • Must have proven multi-task skills in prior position
  • Candidate must be accurate; attention to detail and excellent organizational skills a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Organized and a self-starter
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Purchasing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the VP of Purchasing and Purchasing Manager daily with Purchasing responsibilities, to include but not limited to the following:
  • Process Trade Power each morning for the Data Entry Team
  • Reconcile invoices daily.
  • Ensure and promote compliance to company and procurement policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
