About The Position

The Purchasing Specialist utilizes blanket purchase agreements, standing orders, corporate credit card and purchase orders to acquire services, material, equipment and construction in support of heath care operations for the hospital. This is a 3-month assignment that can potentially lead to a temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Three years as a purchasing clerk or commodity buyer experience preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong IT experience can be used in lieu of buyer experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Proficient with computerized purchasing/inventory systems.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software application to include Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
