This role involves calculating figures for food inventories, orders, and costs, and maintaining organized records for reports and invoices. The Purchasing Clerk will post invoices using computer programs, conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs, and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies. They will also notify management of low stock levels, verify and track received inventory, and complete inventory reports and logs. Additionally, this position requires reconciling shipping invoices and receiving reports for count accuracy, receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries, and refusing damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items. The role also includes troubleshooting vendor delivery issues, overseeing the return process, and adhering to food safety and handling policies. Monitoring PAR levels for all food items is also a key responsibility. The position also requires reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions, completing safety training, and adhering to all company policies and procedures. This includes maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality, and protecting company assets. Communication skills are essential, including speaking clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately, and answering telephones with proper etiquette. Collaboration is also important, involving developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns. Compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards is required. The role involves reading and visually verifying information, inspecting tools and equipment, and using computers and point-of-sale systems. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. The role may also involve moving through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable duties may be requested by supervisors.
