About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Purchasing Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the purchasing manager/team in all aspects of shipping, receiving and inventory control. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll provide safe, efficient, organized, purchasing and delivery service to all food & beverage outlets, kitchens, and other venues within Kalahari. This is an hourly wage role.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
1-2 years of shipping, receiving & or purchasing experience
At least 1 year experience of working in a resort setting
A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Responsibilities

Verifies materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departments/locations.
Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determines most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
