Requirements
- Bilingual English & Mandarin (must speak, read, and write Mandarin).
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 3+ years in a purchasing role.
- Data entry experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Extremely detail and task oriented.
- Technical proficiency.
- A strong sense of team and a desire to help build a dynamic, unique organization.
- Excellent math skills.
- Fast and accurate typing.
Nice To Haves
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Proven track record for strong negotiation skills.
- Experience with shipping/trucking is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain supply inventory levels.
- Negotiate deals with potential vendors.
- Conduct regular price comparisons to ensure the best prices for purchased products.
- Data entry.
- Learn company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Maintain supply inventory levels required for effective company operation.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Review purchasing agreements with vendors and maintain open lines of communication.
- Develop an active process for measuring supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors when beneficial.
- Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors for discrepancies.
