About The Position

The Remote Purchasing Specialist will provide initial and ongoing support for retail cosmetic products. This will include onboarding new vendors, managing existing vendors and tracking cosmetic data and prices including regular price adjustments. They are considered the lead for Cosmetic issues related to purchasing.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of recent office experience in customer service, purchasing, clerical work, or a related role preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills; ability to learn new systems and software (including purchasing and basic design tools) as needed.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing job demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and a positive attitude, including responsiveness to feedback and organizational change.
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to overall operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintains confidentiality, professionalism in appearance and demeanor, and a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the cosmetic master file, ensuring accurate pricing, product details, and system alignment across all platforms.
  • Support vendor platform management (e.g., Allergan, Galderma), including product updates, pricing changes, and program tracking.
  • Assist in implementing vendor price increases, promotions, and program changes, ensuring timely and accurate updates in all systems.
  • Create and distribute clear communications related to cosmetic product updates, pricing changes, and program adjustments.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for aesthetic purchasing strategies and initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report purchasing and cosmetic data using Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, basic reporting), ensuring accuracy and usability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, support inventory needs, and maintain smooth purchasing operations.
  • Build foundational vendor relationships through communication, follow-up, and support of day-to-day purchasing activities.
