About The Position

West Coast Magnetics is a leader in high-quality magnetic components and assemblies, committed to excellence and continuous improvement in all that we do. West Coast Magnetics is looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our procurement operations - processing quotes, purchase orders, and work orders while collaborating with teams across the company to keep our supply chain running smoothly.

Requirements

  • One (1) year work experience in Purchasing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows)
  • Ability to produce fast, accurate documentation
  • Ability to learn ERP software and WCM processes
  • Strong team player with great attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an office or purchasing environment

Responsibilities

  • Contact vendors to obtain quotes and secure the best pricing and delivery dates
  • Create and maintain accurate quote and delivery spreadsheets
  • Process purchase orders, work order edits, and packing slips
  • Handle material receipt discrepancies and related documentation
  • Expedite PO items and ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Produce clear, accurate records, memos, and paperwork as needed
