About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with vendors, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring materials arrive on time to keep operations running smoothly. You don’t need deep purchasing experience—just strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in systems.

Requirements

  • Experience working with vendors (customer service, coordination, or purchasing support)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Acumatica is a plus, but not required)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to be proactive and assertive
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage a high volume of purchase orders (POs) accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate daily with local and national vendors to confirm orders, timelines, and delivery expectations
  • Proactively follow up on orders and hold vendors accountable to deadlines
  • Resolve order discrepancies, delays, and shipment issues
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records in our ERP system (Acumatica)
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including operations, production, and finance
  • Support invoice reconciliation and track purchase orders as needed
