About The Position

This position is responsible for ordering supplies and equipment based on company needs. This position will also be responsible for initiating RFQ's, generating purchase orders, communicating with vendors as required and coordinating all tool crib and maintenance material requirements. This position is a salary, non-exempt position and reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in supply chain, operations or business management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 2 years buying experience
  • Must be capable of coordinating multiple activities to coincide with company objectives and meet customer requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Shipping and receiving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory of all perishable tools and factory supplies including securing quotes and placing orders.
  • Source and order all tooling and repair parts for maintenance.
  • Monitor and expedite the open purchase order report for MRO material.
  • Maintain all documentation associated with tool life, create all new part numbers for tooling and order employee tooling.
  • Print ECN's and the appropriate drawing for approvals (based on required signatures).
  • File the final approved ECN (and print) in binder.
  • Shipping / Admin Asst. (labor entry, etc.) / Receiving back-up as needed.
  • Assign serial tags to all orders.
  • Monitor and order all shipping supplies.
  • Back-Up multiple positions in the Supply Chain department.
