About The Position

Supports purchasing activities and the Corporate Buyers by performing the following duties. This Purchasing Assistant will have Nationwide responsibilities and will be based in our Santa Fe Springs, CA office. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working cross‑functionally with vendors, sales, and receiving teams.

Requirements

  • 6–12 months of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and verify vendor order acknowledgements
  • Provide purchase order updates to sales (dates, delays, changes)
  • Assist with PO updates, including costs and delivery dates
  • Reconcile invoice discrepancies with buyers
  • Partner with receiving to share required paperwork
  • Build working relationships with vendor contacts
  • Support consignment management and system updates
  • Maintain reports, records, and On‑Time Delivery data
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and vendors
