Purchasing Assistant Key Responsibilities Assist in sourcing and purchasing aircraft parts, components, and MRO supplies Create and process purchase orders within ERP/MRP systems Work with approved vendors to obtain quotes, lead times, and certifications Ensure all parts meet FAA traceability requirements Track, expedite, and follow up on orders to support maintenance schedules Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Inventory teams to meet operational needs Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation for audits and compliance Assist with AOG (Aircraft on Ground) urgent material requests Monitor vendor performance including delivery, quality, and pricing Support inventory reconciliation and minimize shortages or excess stock Qualifications 3+ year of purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience (aviation or MRO preferred) Basic knowledge of aircraft parts and aviation supply chain processes Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Quantum, Corridor, SAP, JobBOSS, etc.) Strong attention to detail, especially with documentation and traceability Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Strong communication and organizational skills Knowledge of FAA regulations, 8130-3 tags, and airworthiness documentation Experience handling AOG situations or urgent procurement needs Understanding of inventory control and cycle counting
