About The Position

Apave America is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Agent to join our Houston team. Nice To Haves

  • Degree or certificate in Supply Chain Management is considered an asset.
  • Previous purchasing experience is preferred.
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years of office experience preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of purchasing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services required to support operational needs.
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed purchase orders.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations and pricing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries, pricing, and order status.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving records.
  • Maintain purchasing files and documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with procurement activities.
  • Assist with resolving discrepancies related to orders, invoices, and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely procurement of required goods and services.
  • Adhere to all company purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.
