Punch List Technician / Handyman
About The Position
BRYJO Roofing & Remodeling is seeking an experienced and dependable Punch List Technician / Handyman to complete repairs, maintenance, finishing work, and final project details across residential remodeling projects. This position is ideal for someone with broad hands-on construction experience who can work independently, solve problems, and complete a variety of tasks with care and attention to detail. The Punch List Technician / Handyman will address open items, correct deficiencies, perform repairs, and help ensure completed work meets BRYJO's quality standards and client expectations.
Requirements
- Construction industry experience is required
- Experience as a maintenance technician, carpenter, punch list technician, remodeling technician, or handyman is preferred
- Working knowledge of residential trades, including carpentry, demolition, drywall, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, flooring, tile, roofing, windows, doors, and kitchen and bathroom remodeling
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs with limited supervision
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to meet timelines and follow through
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Professional when working in occupied homes and communicating with clients
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, carpenters, subcontractors, and other team members
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working indoors and outdoors
Responsibilities
- Perform jobsite preparation, cleaning, and light demolition
- Complete punch list items, repairs, adjustments, and finishing work
- Perform basic plumbing, minor HVAC-related work, and basic electrical repairs
- Install or repair fixtures and appliances
- Clean, repair, and maintain gutters
- Apply caulking, sealants, and weatherproofing materials
- Complete minor concrete and masonry repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Assemble and install shelving, cabinets, and storage solutions
- Complete rough and finish carpentry
- Repair drywall and perform patching, sanding, spackling, and painting
- Install surface protection
- Repair or replace flooring and tile
- Perform pressure washing and exterior maintenance
- Assist with roofing, windows, doors, kitchens, and bathrooms
- Identify damaged or incomplete work and recommend solutions
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Use tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely
- Communicate progress, delays, material needs, and project concerns
- Complete work according to schedules and quality standards
- Perform other residential repair and punch list duties as required
