About The Position

The Pump Truck Operator performs septic tank pumping and maintenance for residential and commercial clients in assigned service areas. The role includes replacing filter media in Ecoflo® systems, maintaining water treatment systems that require media changes, and traveling daily within Iowa and neighboring regions in a company vehicle. Operators use vacuum trucks to pump septic tanks and used filter media, install new filter media, record service details with a mobile system, and maintain the truck and trailer. The position involves physically demanding hands-on work and following health and safety best practices.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift packages of approximately 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Comfort using mobile technology to complete tasks.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proactive approach to completing tasks and solving problems.
• Ability to work well with other team members.
• Commitment to sustainable practices and contributing to environmental protection.

Responsibilities

• Perform septic tank pumping and maintenance services for residential and commercial clients in assigned service areas.
• Replace filter media in Ecoflo® systems and maintain water treatment systems requiring media changes.
• Drive daily within Iowa and neighboring regions using a company vehicle.
• Load materials into the trailer and prepare equipment for each service job.
• Pump out septic tanks and used filter media using vacuum trucks.
• Unpack and install new filter media into Ecoflo® biofilters.
• Record service details during each client visit using a mobile system.
• Maintain the truck and trailer in top working condition.
• Perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety best practices.
