About The Position

Wind River Environmental is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Pump Technician to pump and dispose of non-hazardous waste from residential and commercial septic systems. The role involves driving a company service truck to customer locations, operating vacuum equipment, and completing jobs safely, efficiently, and with excellent customer service. The driver works independently in the field and may respond to trouble or emergency calls as needed. The posting lists an estimated base pay range of $24.00–$26.00 per hour; compensation depends on factors including work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. A separate section of the posting lists an estimated range of $28.00–$30.00 per hour.

Requirements

Class A or Class B CDL.
Ability to drive a manual transmission without restrictions.
At least 1 year of professional commercial driving experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Basic computer literacy, including email and internet use.
Must pass a DOT drug screen, physical exam, and road test.
Willingness to work in a drug-free environment.

Nice To Haves

Tanker endorsement, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a service truck and vacuum equipment to pump septic tanks.
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fluids, tires, and supplies.
Provide professional customer service and educate customers on system care.
Identify and report defective components or hazards and recommend service options.
Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and promptly.
Respond to trouble or emergency calls as needed.
Follow company safety protocols and DOT regulations.
Work independently while representing Wind River Environmental in the field.
