About The Position

This position oversees pump room activities, materials, and equipment. The Pump Room Attendant mixes finishing materials according to designated formulas, supplies spray booths with the proper materials, monitors equipment and material consistency, maintains inventory records, and repairs or maintains spraying and mixing equipment. The role also requires following plant safety rules, keeping the work area clean, and performing other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous pump room experience preferred.
Able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 8 hours.
Able to lift and move a 5-gallon bucket of material.
Able to move 55-gallon drums of material using a drum dolly.
Able to lift up to 30 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

Mix fillers, glazes, shades, oil, and paint extender according to designated formulas.
Retrieve drums from storage and move them to the mixing area.
Use mixing equipment and add materials to prepare the required or requested quantities.
Mix finished materials for the Repair section as requested.
Change materials for spray booths, either in the Pump Room or at a spray booth as directed.
Supply each booth with the proper finishing material.
Monitor gauges and agitators to ensure consistent pressure and mixture of finishing materials.
Oversee inventory records for pump room materials, incoming inventory, and spare parts for spraying and pumping equipment.
Repair and/or maintain pumps, tanks, regulators, lines, guns, and other spraying and mixing equipment.
Observe plant safety rules.
Keep the work area clean and perform duties with attention to quality.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
