Job Identification Pump ready mix concrete and other associated products onsite at construction jobsites. This position reports to the Pumping Division Manager. Essential Tasks and Job Functions Perform Pre-Trip/Post-Trip inspection of the vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations, including fluids such as oil and antifreeze Receive job order ticket Arrive on job site 30-60 minutes prior to the start of shift to visually inspect job location for potential overhead hazards Communicate with job superintendent to ensure all pump requirements are understood Set up pump in a safe manner Document yards pumped and time on the job order ticket Ensure that all job order tickets are signed Wash hopper and pipes in an area designated by the contractor Perform routine maintenance such as greasing fittings and outriggers, rotating pipes, changing elbows Assist mechanics with maintenance and repair issues as needed Refuel truck each evening and perform all post inspection procedures Additional Expectations Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English Competence in basic math calculations, e.g. addition and subtraction Must have and maintain a valid Class A or B CDL license issued by the state of Georgia Ability to pass a Federal Department of Transportation drug/alcohol screening and physical Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and company policy Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with management, co-workers, and customers in stressful situations Must be able to operate vehicles and perform tasks in a safe manner and observe all safety requirements and policies Other duties as assigned
