About The Position

The Pump Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a variety of pumps and rotating equipment. This role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while following company and safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic mechanical knowledge and experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to read measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and repair manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must meet conditional job offer requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience repairing industrial pumps or rotating equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair centrifugal, reciprocating, and positive displacement pumps.
Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble pumps and related equipment.
Replace bearings, seals, gaskets, impellers, shafts, and other mechanical components.
Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, and rotating equipment.
Align pumps and motors using manual or laser alignment tools.
Conduct performance testing and verify proper equipment operation after repairs.
Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and equipment specifications.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.
Work with operations and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
