Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry. Job summary: SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a Pump Mechanic IV. The Pump Mechanic IV assembles, services, maintains, evaluates, repairs, and installs reciprocating plunger pumps to include but not limited to gear boxes, power end assemblies and fluid end assemblies. Requirements

  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment
  • Required to bring necessary tools to perform assigned tasks such as pneumatic tooling, hand tools and a storage box

Responsibilities

  • Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas
  • Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance
  • Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture
  • Clean, strip and inspect all required components
  • Assist during the disassemble phase
  • Prepare for detailed inspections
  • Ability to comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Risk Assessments
  • Utilize measuring equipment
  • Dismantles pumps and other equipment as directed
  • Hauls pumps and pump parts to and from machine and test shops
  • Troubleshoots, disassembles, and performs a detailed evaluation to determine repair needs and root cause analysis for the following: TWS 2250, QWS 2500, TWS 600 short, TWS 600 standard, QWS 1000, QEM 3000, WS 335
  • Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
  • Utilize all PPE
  • Perform other routine duties as requested
