The Pultrusion Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting machines and equipment to produce a good quality product. This includes machines such as pultrusion, saw, and doweling machines, as well as other departmental equipment. The role involves processes like inspecting, sanding, mixing, sawing, testing, and processing. The operator will perform visual and manual inspections, record production and scrap data, and maintain required production records. They may operate more than one machine simultaneously and must be able to interpret drawings and routing sheets, performing SPC as required. Additionally, the operator is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area and ensuring proper packaging and labeling of any hazardous waste generated.
