About The Position

Creative Foam is a leading supplier of cellular and non-cellular foam and plastic products for customers in the automotive, medical, and composite markets, with manufacturing locations nationwide and in Mexico. The company values innovation, quality, and customer commitment. This role is responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of an assigned polyurethane (PU) Machine.

Requirements

Inspect and verify the working condition of the PU machine and its assigned tooling for ISO, Poly, hydraulic, water and air leaks.
Prepare and maintain the tooling for production.
Verify the tools are cleaned and ready to shoot.
Wax preparation.
Maintain correct machine parameter set points throughout the production shift.
Cross reference the check sheet posted on the line.
Ensure that all necessary data is correctly entered into Plex and the line white board is properly filled out and maintained.
Ensure that source inventories related to the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained.
Material Verification Process
Ensure the assigned PU machine is producing foam that meets quality requirements and policies.
Perform basic maintenance on the PU machine that ensures the foam meets quality requirement and policies.
Pressure adjustments, Orifice cleaning and turning tools on/off.
Ensure that parts being produced during the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained to quality requirements and policies.
PICCI Process
Alerts appropriate personnel of quality or equipment deficiencies in a timely manner.
Escalation process.
Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
Maintains a clean work area and assists in maintaining the company 5S system.
Follows Creative Foam / Dayton Molded Urethanes policies and procedures and promotes the organizations safety efforts.
Positively reinforces production goals, standards, and work ethic in work area(s) as well as the entire facility.
Performs other tasks as required.

Responsibilities

Start up the machines in a timely manner, ensuring parts are coming off the line at the start of the scheduled shift.
Inspect and verify the working condition of the PU machine and its assigned tooling for ISO, Poly, hydraulic, water, and air leaks.
Prepare and maintain the tooling for production, verifying tools are cleaned and ready to shoot, including wax preparation.
Maintain correct machine parameter set points throughout the production shift, cross-referencing the check sheet posted on the line.
Ensure that all necessary data is correctly entered into Plex and the line white board is properly filled out and maintained.
Ensure that source inventories related to the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained.
Perform the Material Verification Process.
Ensure the assigned PU machine is producing foam that meets quality requirements and policies.
Perform basic maintenance on the PU machine that ensures the foam meets quality requirements and policies, including pressure adjustments, orifice cleaning, and turning tools on/off.
Ensure that parts being produced during the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained to quality requirements and policies.
Alert appropriate personnel of quality or equipment deficiencies in a timely manner (escalation process).
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
Maintain a clean work area and assist in maintaining the company 5S system.
Follow Creative Foam / Dayton Molded Urethanes policies and procedures and promote the organization's safety efforts.
Positively reinforce production goals, standards, and work ethic in work area(s) as well as the entire facility.
