We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive Pulmonary care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings. Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
  • Active and unrestricted NP license
  • DEA license required
  • CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (NP applicants)
  • Graduation from an accredited NP program
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Pulmonary (training available if not)
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Provide pulmonology consults in nursing home and long-term care settings
  • Assess and manage respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, and chronic respiratory failure
  • Conduct respiratory-focused evaluations and interpret pulmonary tests and imaging
  • Manage oxygen therapy, inhalers, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory medications
  • Collaborate with pulmonologists and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate residents and families on respiratory disease management and smoking cessation
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
