About The Position

Bethany Medical is seeking a Pulmonology and Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join its established, independent multispecialty practice in Central North Carolina. The role combines pulmonology with primary care, urgent care, and pain management services in an outpatient setting. The provider will work with physicians and other providers across a practice offering primary, urgent, and specialty care. The position includes providing and managing direct patient care, developing and implementing patient management plans, documenting progress, supporting continuity of care, communicating test results and follow-up information to patients, and referring patients to specialists and other relevant care services. Bethany Medical uses Allscripts EMR and offers onsite ancillary services in modern, well-equipped facilities. Phone-only call coverage is 1:28 days or better.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Nurse Practitioner certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of patient and corporate information.
Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment.
Build relationships with patients and provide a strong bedside manner and excellent clinical care.
Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist with continuity of care.
Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information.
Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
