About The Position

Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Pulmonologist to provide a full spectrum of treatment options for patients suffering from various pulmonary issues. This role involves high-level care in the Intensive Care Unit for acute, life-threatening lung conditions, including procedures like bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound. The focus is on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases affecting the lungs and related organs, with an emphasis on stabilizing patients with emergent conditions affecting their ability to breathe.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or foreign equivalent.
  • Completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease.
  • Missouri medical license by the time of appointment.
  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
  • Doctorate Degree

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full spectrum of treatment options to help patients suffering from pulmonary issues such as chronic cough, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COVID-19, etc.
  • Provide high-level care to patients suffering from acute, life-threatening lung conditions in the Intensive Care Unit and provide such patients with services which include bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, bronchial thermoplasty, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Focus on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases affecting the lungs and related organs in patients with emergent conditions.
  • Stabilize patients suffering from serious conditions that affect their ability to breathe.
  • Provide other services as required by the department.
