About The Position

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is seeking a specialist in Interventional Pulmonology to join their team of over 1,800 physicians serving Kaiser Permanente patients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The primary work locations will be in the D.C. and Northern VA areas. MAPMG is a physician-led group offering competitive salaries without income based on individual services. Physicians utilize a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) for care coordination, focusing on long-term health, prevention, and effective disease treatment. MAPMG supports innovative ideas through research to ensure quality care and advance best practices.

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Certified or Eligible in Pulmonology
Fellowship training in interventional pulmonology required
Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia

Work for a robust program (13 pulmonologists in the region) with organization wide state of the art AI integration in conjunction with an Epic based EMR.
No ICU requirements
Favorable weekend and holiday call schedule

Responsibilities

Primarily procedural based pulmonology at Holy Cross, VHC (Virginia Hospital Center), Inova, Doctor’s Hospital, and Caton Hill/Woodbridge, VA as needed.
Build a region wide interventional pulmonology program.
Partner with the thoracic surgery team.
Perform new evaluations (30 minutes per patient).
Conduct routine follow-up appointments (30 minutes per patient).
