About The Position

In this project, the Pulmonary Physician will use expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine to help fine-tune large language models. The work draws on knowledge of respiratory diagnostics, ventilator management, and ICU decision-making to help AI systems provide accurate, empathetic, and safe medical reasoning. The role involves creating and solving advanced clinical scenarios, evaluating AI-generated responses, identifying gaps in the models’ understanding of pulmonology and intensive care, and collaborating with AI researchers and medical peers. The physician will provide structured expert feedback to inform future AI development for clinical and educational applications. This is a fully remote contractor/freelancer engagement for 20–40 hours per week, with a minimum of four hours per day and some overlap with Pacific time. The engagement is one month, with a possible extension. Medical or paid leave is not provided.
