Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted New York State medical license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine Critical Care
  • Valid DEA license
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Less than one year of experience considered

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with pulmonary and critical care conditions
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary medicine services
  • Deliver consultation and ongoing care for conditions including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and related disorders
  • Perform and interpret pulmonary function testing and other diagnostic procedures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities
