A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Program of Respiratory Therapy
- Current Licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC
- Current Licensure by the Ohio Respiratory Care Processional (RCP) Board
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

- C/RPFT credentialing through the NBRC
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operations of assigned areas and act as a resource person for staff.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement.
- Assist with development and implementation of Respiratory Therapy Policy/Procedures/Protocols.
- Act as a Respiratory Care liaison by developing/maintaining communication with the multidisciplinary care team.
- Assist with developing and providing ongoing orientation/training for newly hired therapists, existing staff, nursing and LIPs.
- Perform blood gas puncture and analysis (where applicable).
- Perform patient education regarding treatment and care of respiratory illness/disease to patient and family (where applicable).
- If designated as a Technical Consultant by the blood gas Laboratory Director, meet minimum qualifications as specified by the CLIA code of federal regulations
