About The Position

The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. In addition, it includes five institutes, as well as providing management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements. WVUHS Medical Group seeks a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to practice in the primary location of Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV. As a full member of our WVU Health System, Weirton Medical Center is part of a broad, integrated network of doctors, hospitals, clinics, and specialized institutes.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain state medical license.
• Board certified or eligible in pulmonary diseases and Critical Care Medicine.
• All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine.
• Offer outpatient pulmonary clinic.
• Provide inpatient pulmonary consults.
• Manage sleep disorders.
• Perform bronchoscopies.
• Read pulmonary function tests.
• Offer inpatient critical care services.
