About The Position

MercyOne North Iowa is seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join their team. This is an inpatient/outpatient position with a teaching opportunity for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents and medical students. There is also potential for outreach services within their 14-county network. The position is located at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital that has been recognized as a Top 100 Hospital nationally. The medical center offers easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services. The regional health system covers 14 counties and includes MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, 8 critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa. The Pulmonary Critical Care team serves approximately 260,000 people. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center offering post-graduate education programs.

Requirements

Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program.
Board certified or board eligible.
Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
Above average communication skills.
Ability to work with a team.
Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible.

Collaborate with a team of 2 Pulmonary Critical Care Physicians and 2 Intensivists.
