About The Position

The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama is looking for a full-time board eligible/board certified Pulmonary/Critical Care provider to join the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Responsibilities will include teaching students, house staff and fellows, patient care, performance of pulmonary related procedures, and basic and/or clinical research. The chosen candidate will join our division compromised of 8 academic faculty members and 9 pulmonary fellows. Faculty share weekend call and are assigned to clinical services based on activities such as research time, formal teaching at the COM undergraduate level, clinical educator role, etc. We are committed to attracting, developing and retaining top talent in a market long recognized and revered as a leader in healthcare. Requirements

  • Successful completion/in process of completing an ACGME accredited Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Fellowship program
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board eligible/Board certified in both Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine
  • Ability to obtain medical license/DEA for the state of Alabama
